Consultation, Design and Installation
The process begins with a meeting where we determine what you want and need from your garden or landscape. We discuss how you plan on using your outdoor space. Whether it is for your children and pets or just for you; we determine your likes and dislikes. From there we develop a plan and proposal utilizing measurements we have obtained during a site visit or client provided survey.
Utilizing our expertise and knowledge of landscape practices and plants suitable for our area, a landscape design and proposal are developed that encompasses your wants and desires. We try to salvage any existing plants on the property and utilize them in the design.
We meet again to review the plan and proposal. It is during this meeting, we make any changes or adjustments as needed. We can also discuss any opportunities for cost savings and phasing of the project. Phasing will consider the clients budget needs as well as seasonally appropriate times to plant.
Once the plan and proposal suits the clients needs, we set a date to begin. To begin the installation, a deposit is required. There are never any surprise increase in price at the end of a project. Often during an install, unforeseen site conditions are encountered that may increase the price. If this is the case, any increase in price will be discussed with the client at that time.
Gardening: A philosophy
Gardening is often associated with the growing of edible and useful plants only. Gardening is much more comprehensive in that it includes growing ornamental plants for their flowers, foliage, or overall appearance. To many, gardening is considered to be a relaxing activity. It is also a great form of exercise.
Gardening can include fruit orchards, to formal plantings with one or more different types of shrubs, trees, and herbaceous plants, to residential yards that include lawns and foundation plantings for curb appeal, to plants in large or small containers grown inside the home or outside on patios, decks and balconies. Gardening is caring for one plant in a pot as well as a large and diverse landscape that includes many types of plants. It is the mental and physical participation in the growing and caring of plants.
